Built on the fundamental values of safeguarding property and the environment, societal inclusion and transparent business practices, Marine Masters is proud to have established Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting aspects built into our operation strategies.
Environmental (E)
Protecting the environment is a core objective for salvors. The primary focus of marine salvage is the safe containment and removal of pollutants from a stricken vessel. As the climate crisis continues, companies are increasingly considering the global impact of their operations.
Our commitment to minimizing carbon emissions means that we do not primarily operate an owned fleet or purchase equipment, but prefer to source local vessels, hardware and materials in the country of operations. This way of working also eliminates the need to move heavy lift assets around the globe in response to an accident. This create further emissions and time delays. Instead, we work in an agile manner to deliver innovative project solutions to happy customers.
Social (S)
We are committed to social responsibility and, by partnering with local companies to source equipment and workers, we contribute to the local economies of the countries we work in. This also develops the knowledge and skills of regional partners and local subcontractors, whom we also learn from.
We support ‘Maritime’s Just Transition’ principles and promote the development of local communities and economies through fair wages and internationally recognised training that benefits regional workers beyond a single salvage contract.
Governance (G)
Marine Masters is transparent in dealings with customers, insurers, port authorities, local contractors and other stakeholders. We constantly strive to refine our corporate governance structures and procedures.
Collaboration, open dialogue and commercial integrity are the foundation of our company culture. It has enabled us to built trusted networks and a strong reputation.
Marine Masters is a recognized member of the International Salvage Union (ISU).
